I've played today the "play with devs" on source beta and David said that they plan a lot of stats and competitive stuff.

I really liked that and I have an idea. I am a competitive gamer and Im trying to open a small tournament website myself. What I've learned through this is that a lot of new teams struggle to find tournaments (especially in games that arent that popular).

I think it would be very neat AND helped orion preserve its competitive community if they added an ingame tournament announcement option. It could work as a simple serverbrowser but instead of connecting you to a server it would open a page with more info on the tournaments. People would write announcements with the date when the tournament starts and the announcement would expire when the tournament has started. What do you think?

We are going to put a great deal of effort into incorporating our community and updates in-game. It allows for a more seamless experience and Blizzard has achieved greatness in that regard.

It is our goal for you, the player, to be able to check our company updates, scheduled developer matches, for you guys to create and schedule events and more - all from inside the game.

So you did consider this before? Nice. As i grow older i start to get more and more irritated in mainstream and I'd love to support EU competitive community with indie games tournaments and such feature would make it SO much easier.

Competitive nature is in our DNA
