Adding in an operating system and the harddrive shortage, you may be hard pressed though; unless of course, he adds in parts from his already existing system.

Western Digital has a factory up and running now tho... and prices are dropping slowly.

last time i saw a HDD price for a TB it was $150
i was told to wait because the original price was like $65 . if that was true.. that is a huge price increase

The AMD one does not even have windows preinstalled.. *Would cost another $80 for that* and has onboard video..

The intel one looks a bit better.

Honestly I don't know super low end hardware..
