It has performance between the 5750 and 5770 according to quite a few sources, but also runs cooler and quieter. No objections if you are trying for lower power consumption. You don't really want to be too frugal when purchasing a PSU, so try to find a good manufacturer that meets the requirements at the least.

I have changed my mind. I will be getting that card, with the $150, and save some. Then, after I get my first paycheck in a month, buy a 660w psu from the local pc store. Then, NO ARGUMENTS! XD

At my local Microcenter, they have GTX 460s for $99 because of clearance. I don't suppose there are any Microcenters in Idaho though.

Closest is Denver XD

Here, there are really the big office supply chains (i.e. Staples, Office Depot, etc.), and independently owned repair businesses.

I am now deciding between the:
GTX 550 Ti - http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.a ... Family&sw= or http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.a ... Family&sw=

GTX 460 - http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.a ... Family&sw= or http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.a ... Family&sw=

1 more thing:
- Is there a BIG difference between the superclock versions and the regular? If not, I will go with the regular.

One more thing: If I have a PCIe x16, and its a new PC, is it safe to assume it is a 2.0? Need to be sure of this XD

It probably is, but 2.0 is backwards compatible regardless.

The 550 has a 3 year warranty compared to the 460's 2 year as well as a lower power requirement, but the overclocked version isn't overclocked by too much more, and you may be able to overclock the normal card to that much anyway. I have never used the GTX 550 (regular), but apparently, that model (same as the one you linked) won a customer choice award on Newegg.
The regular GTX 460 doesn't seem to be in stock? So I don't know how the price compares. The GTX 460 is definitely the more powerful card though. The overclocked 460 compared to the overclocked 550 is even a wider gap. It pretty much boils down to price or maybe warranty if you are one of those people.

No, get the GTX 460. The difference does not look so big, but thats because nVidia's naming scheme. The gtx 550 has 192 shaders while the GTX 460 has 336. This difference is huge, no overclock can bridge the gap.

But should I get the superclock, or the SE? Is the x-tra 10-20$ worth it?

The SE is a version of the GTX 460 with less shaders and thus lower performance, so the superclocked or even a regular GTX 460 will have better performance for the price. If you can find it for not much more and still in your budget, get it.

http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/38178-nvidia-geforce-gtx-460-se-1gb-review-3.html

Prices are a little outdated, but the chart shows how the SE lacks compared to the regular.
