Sandy Bridge? Yes/No?

I really need to buy a new gaming PC, as Battlefield 3 is coming this autumn.
And one of my friends recommended me one of those new Sandy Bridge processors made by Intel.
I heard good and bad things about them, some say they overheat easily and some say they are really quite and powerful.

I'd really like to know if you would recommend me a Sandy Bridge processor aswell and what experiences you made with them.

Are you an enthusiast who overclocks? Wait for the server chips.

Sandy Bridge got recalled..... Unless it is back on the market.

Oh and the i7 2600k can easily be overclocked to 4ghz on air.

If you have any sata II hard drives you can't use them. Only the sata III ports work.

*That is the reason they got recalled*

One of my friends recently bought a Sandy Bridge and he had those problems with his hard drives, but he apparently managed to fix it. You can still buy Sandy Bridge processors and yes, I am going to overclock it.

The main reason why I would buy is the cheap price and because a friend told me they stay very cool.
