Unlike analog of the good ole days quality does not matter unless you are transferring it at large distances. IE: Over a distance of greater then 30 feet.

There is different HDMI generations. THOSE are the differences BUT you can ge the latest one for $5. The picture is either ON or OFF. Not in between.

this. hdmi is optical and therefore on or off. you will only see a difference if the cable is damaged. this difference being it wont be on :d

HDMI is digital not optical..

But yes... that is right.

Oh lol I knew i would get something muddled :p but Ye I the only reason to by expensive cables is if they hang out the back of the tv and everyone can see them. I got some nice thick white braided ones for mine.... but still only cost 8 pounds
