 Post subject: [WIP] Unnamed (Power Plant)

Well, ive been working on a map for some time now, I still dont have a name figured out... but i will post up pics as i progress.

I hope to get a playable version of this done by saturday so we can possibly play on it for a few minutes on sundays playtest

heya pepper,

it's a good start.
i'll say what i always say though: do you have a layout in mind or on paper? or are you just making it as you go?
also, don't rush it, rushing often leads to mistakes.

anyway, i'll be keeping an eye on the thread, to see where you go with this

I started making the spawn room by mind.. The rest i have layed out on paper so i dont forget what i want it to look like and all that fun stuff, its getting really close to a playable alpha release tho.. if it wasnt for the 8 minute build times this would go faster :lol:

8 minutes? i hope you're not compiling it with lighting + HDR everytime you do a test of it. you only need those things for a version your going to give out to people. (unless you're testing the lighting effects of course lol)

I do build with HDR simply because i love it lol.. But true, i guess for testing stuff its not necessary.

I'm right there with you pepperoni. I had the hardest time breaking my habit of compiling full maps with all of my lighting effects on... you just want your baby to look it's best all the time you know? :lol:

heh. well i'm very impatient, so will compile without lighting unless i need it on when i'm testing the map. don't need it on to make sure all the doors are working right for example :)
